RARIS creates a technical assistance package for the RDAs. Technical assistance packages are a new mechanism that aims to strengthen regional development agencies (RDAs) in supporting local self-governments (LSGs) in creating and presenting local and regional investment opportunities, as well as to foster more successful cooperation with the diaspora through new work organization frameworks, new programs and support measures.

Technical assistance for local self-governments will be provided by 6 RDAs involved in the project. Technical assistance will establish a new framework for sustainable and inclusive work and cooperation between RDAs and the local self-governments towards the diaspora, which will continue after the project ends. RDAs from 3 emigration regions – Eastern Serbia, Braničevo and Podunavlje, and Pomoravlje – will create and implement a technical assistance package to 10 cities and municipalities on the individual level. RDAs from 3 economically fast-growing regions – Belgrade, Niš and Leskovac – will implement a technical assistance package on the collective level of local self-government units within its regions.
