November 1, 2019 – Launch of the Link Up! Serbia II project

ICMPD Director for Migration Dialogues and Cooperation, Mr. Martijn Pluim and Regional Coordinator for Western Balkans and Turkey Mr. Tamer Kilic, had a meeting with Mrs. Jadranka Joksimović, the Minister of European Integration in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Mihailo Vesović, Director for Strategic Analysis, Services and Internationalization Sector within Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS) and Mr. Đorđe Andrić, Head of the Center for Investment Support and Public Private Partnerships within Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS). The main topics were partnership on the Link Up! Serbia II  project, initiation and coordination of project implementation and cooperation with the Serbian diaspora.

December 2019 – Link Up! Serbia II project was presented at the annual meeting of the Business Council for Diaspora of CCIS. Project activities were presented and invitation for cooperation extended to successful businessman in diaspora of three targeted countries (Austria, Germany and Switzerland)

January 2020Project Implementation Plan for 2020/2021 was created and the project Steering Group established. The Plan for Cooperation with Diaspora Experts which will foster cooperation between small and medium enterprises and local self-governments in Serbia with the Serbian diaspora in DACH countries was created. Action Plan for Cooperation with Diaspora Organizations and Various Target Groups in the Diaspora was also designed.
